A Funny Fetish

A friend of mine was deciding on a car he wants to purchase. I asked him his choice and he mentioned the name of Toyota. That's just a brand and I egged him on and he said Prado. The Dubai Man's fetish for owning a 4WD has no limits. Why do they want a 4WD. The few reasons I hear of are:

1. Can see forward traffic more than if you were in a car because of the height. This is an useful feature when you want to jump lanes frequently.
2. They like the ability of cross country driving though the maximum they would drive is on a decent tar road. This feature is useful when you want to brag about your car's strength.
3. They have an extended family and more seats are required. Most of these guys are 4 member families. It would be cheaper to hire a mini van when people visit you!! And you would consume less fuel and show less arrogance on the road.
4. Status....I wonder where does this end?
